Camp Hero MHL (Mental Health Leadership) is a program launched by Zero2Hero that aims to educate, equip and empower young people as a way of promoting good mental health in our communities. In 2019 Silverhorse sponsored its first young person through this exciting and life-changing initiative.
Silverhorse is committed to supporting university research and promoting industry-wide best practice. Recently we partnered with Curtin University to provide software support for a bid regarding corrosion prevention to the Industrial Transformation Training Centres scheme. The ITTC scheme is run by the Australian Research Council.
For the past decade Silverhorse has been a regular provider of financial and personal support for the Boab Network, which works with the indigenous Mowanjum people in Kimberley, Western Australia, for the benefit of their community. By developing long term relationships, Boab seeks to help Mowanjum children keep their culture alive and healthy.
Silverhorse is a strong believer in the benefits of sport to young people, and is a proud sponsor of the local junior rugby union team, South West Spirit Rugby Union. Established in 2018, SW Spirit aims to offer competitive and quality coaching that enables young players to advance in the sport.
The Black Pearl Network is a program that grew up in response to a request by the Papuan people for clean water, sanitation, and support for English language education. Education has now become the principal area of action for BPN, and Silverhorse is pleased to play a supporting role in this.
Silverhorse was immensely proud to sponsor David through the Camp Hero program run by Zero2Hero. Here are Nic Mercer and Andrea Sokolovic at his Camp Hero graduation. Congratulations, David!
